About
Restaura Biomas enables restoration at scale in Brasil by supporting public policies focused on native vegetation recovery and contributing to the implementation of the National Plan for Native Vegetation Recovery (PLANAVEG).The project strengthens institutions,convenes key stakeholders and unlocks financial flows to accelerate restoration efforts.
Guided by CI-GEF Environmental and Social Safeguard Policies, the initiative identifies potential risks to people and the environment and establishes measures to avoid, reduce or mitigate adverse impacts. It promotes social participation, gender equality and respect for Indigenous Peoples and traditional communities while ensuring transparency and inclusion.
